Your Exit Strategy
My Exit Strategy
1) My exit strategy would be not to exit! My intent with Parker Claims Management is to
stay with the business to make it profitable and sustainable to allow the
venture to become the family business to be passed to my children.
2) The reason that I selected the strategy of not exiting is because
I believe the firm could be an incredible opportunity for my children to
have. They would receive something valuable
they could continue to grow or they could sell their inheritance if it was more
suited for them.
3) My
thought process during the startup of this entire venture has been persuaded by
the fact that I planned on keeping the business for my children to one day
inherit. There wouldn’t be some big
investor waiting to buy me out once the venture was off the ground so I needed
to make sure everything was in place to allow the firm to have continued
success and longevity
Hi Shannon,
ReplyDeleteIt’s great to see that you made the business concept with the intent of keeping it for a long time. It made sure that your entrepreneurial decisions and concepts were sound, viable, and sustainable. I agree that that is more difficult than an investor buying the start-up and then being in charge of the decisions which followed the sale.
Hi Shannon, I agree, as long as I can work, if I am successful and making my dream into a reality, why should I quit? I should keep going as long as I can, and hopefully pass the business off to my kids or sell the business off for what I believe it is worth. I think that there is a possibility that I would not sell it, because I want to work as long as I physically can. Sitting around is boring. Well done!
ReplyDeleteHey Shannon,
ReplyDeleteI think it is really cool that you are choosing not to exit the business! I like the idea of keeping the business as a family enterprise that can be passed down for generations. I admire your forward thinking, seeing this venture not only for yourself, but something that could benefit your family and children in the future. I like your overall strategy and wish you the best!
